Carshalton Beeches-based pianist Christina Ward began her career as accompanist to the London Philharmonic Choir and working as staff coach at the London Opera Centre, coaching, among others, Kiri te Kanawa.

She also held the post of Operatic Coach at the Guildhall School of Music, Piano Professor at the Royal Academy of Music and Singing Coach at the Trinity College of Music.

She became an accompanist for the Croydon Philharmonic Society and John Alldis invited her to play for the London Philharmonic Society, where she stayed for eleven years, working with Gerg Solti, Bernard Haitink, Andre Previn and Sir Simon Rattle, among others.
