Award-winning mezzo-soprano, Akiko Enomoto studied under Prof Ryosuke Hatanaka.
After graduation from the Kunitachi College of Music in Tokyo, she established herself as an international opera singer and recitalist. Various projects and tours have seen her sing Suzuki in Madam Butterfly, Adalgisa (Norma), Olga (Eugine Onegin), Charlotte (Werther), Urlica (Un Ballo in Maschera) and Carmen. She has also appeared in Madam Butterfly at the RAH. Akiko’s recitals of contemporary British and Japanese songs are well known.
